What makes a heart healthy meal?

A heart healthy meal has a moderate amount of sodium, ~500mg or less per meal or 2000mg or less per day. It also limits saturated fat, less than 15% total calories from saturated fat. Our meals limit both of these nutrients!

5 day 1 meal:

Meals: Chef's Choice (w/ Chicken), including but not limited to...
Quinoa tossed in a Honey Sumac Dressing, mixed with Fresh Cucumber, Red Onion, Cherry Tomatoes, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, & Fresh Herbs

Spaghetti ala Pesto
Whole Wheat Spaghetti, Sunflower Seed Pesto, Tomato Ricotta topping, American Grana
